As report on April 2021 by Krrish Smith, Matthijs de Ligt is unhappy at Juventus and wants to leave and it's have been confirmed by Super Agent Mino Raiola.

As told by his agent Mino Raiola : "De Ligt is ready for a new step and he thinks that too" in an interview with NRC.

Matthijs de ligt realized that it was a mistake joining Juventus in 2019 over FC Barcelona and Manchester City.

FC Barcelona and Manchester City were close to Signing De Ligt from Ajax in 2019 instead of Juventus.

Barcelona were set to sign Matthijs de Ligt, but De Ligt changed his mind at the last moment due to the Nations League Final Vs Portugal as Agent Ronaldo strikes and convinced him to join the old lady.

Matthijs de ligt does have a €150M release clause available in the summer, but Juventus would be willing to accept bid of around €90M for the Dutch player.

FC Barcelona

FC Barcelona will be a club looking to get Matthijs. It's De Ligt's dream to join Barça and play at the Camp Nou.

However, it will be next to impossible for Barça to sign a star striker in the form of Erling Haaland or Dusan Vlahovic and then try to sign Matthijs de Ligt.

Barça are affort to sign de ligt in the summer, but it will mean their will be no arrive of a star striker.

Real Madrid

Their is an interesting case regarding Real Madrid, the Los blancos are currently not interested in de Ligt.

Madrid are looking at Market opportunity and big players on cheap deals.

They are not planning to sign De ligt at the moment.

Their priority is to sign Kylian Mbappe and Antonio Rudiger on a free transfer. Carlo Ancelotti loves Rudiger.

Chelsea

Chelsea will be one of the favorites to sign Matthijs de Ligt in the summer. They are ready to pay the money required to sign complete the operation.

Chelsea see him as a long-term successor to Thiago Silva. Pau Torres and Jules Kounde are also on the list.

However, it will be up to the Player and his agent to decide his next destination.
