Raphaël Varane To Manchester United Updates

Manchester United are interested in Signing Raphaël Varane from Real Madrid as reported on 5th January 2021.

Raphaël Varane's contract with Real Madrid expires on 30th June 2022 and has only a year remaining on his contract

Real Madrid is pushing to get Varane to sign a new deal but Raphaël has shown a desire to play at a new club and take on a new challenge.

Manchester United and Chelsea FC are the two English clubs interested in Signing the French Central-Defender.

Ole Gunnar Solskjær wants to strengthen his central defensive options but after an agreement was reached to sign Jadon Sancho for €85M, United will only do deals that reflect the economic climate.

Manchester United have recently made contacts with the Real Madrid officials regarding a move for the 28-year-old.

Manchester United is waiting for Real Madrid to set a price tag on Varane before making a bid/offer.

Real Madrid's price tag can be around €40M-€60M as Los Blancos wouldn't like to lose Varane on a free transfer.

Manchester United feels that personal terms & Agent fees regarding Raphaël Varane will not be an issue and can smooth be reached.

Raphaël Varane earns €175,000 per week, resulting in Varane earning €12M per season with bonuses included, playing for Los Blancos.

The French Central Defender could demand anything over €200,000+ per week, which could result in €14M+ with addons & bonuses per season.

However, the main issue can be negotiations with Real Madrid as Manchester United are known for taking a long time to negotiate a Transfer Fee.
